The protagonist of the novel, Pamela, is the sole narrator of the novel through her letter writing and composing poetry to various addressees, and it can be best explained by Paul Ricoeur’s intensio anime and distensio anime in narration. Such explanation clarifies the relationship between existentialism, feminism and literature through distensio anime from one hand, and, it represents intensio anime through Pamela’s letter writing and love poems, on the other. In the meantime, Ricoeur is among those contemporary narratologists who believe ethics to be originated from narrative cohesion and narrative identity and he puts emphasis on the role of ethics and morality in narration. The aim of the present study is to explain intensio anime and distensio anime in narration and their effect on Pamela’s ethical narrative identity cohesion in existential feminist scope. The methodology in this study is descriptive-analytical. بارزترین ویژگی رمان <em>پاملا</em>، اثر ساموئل ریچاردسون، سبک نامه­نگارانه است. شخصیت اصلی داستان که همان پاملا است، در طی رمان با نوشتن نامه­های متعدد به اشخاص زیادی، هر بار روایت را یک‌تنه بر دوش می­کشد. این ویژگی را می­توان طبق نظریة پل ریکور درباب درون‌گستری و برون‌گستری زمان روایی به‌خوبی تشریح کرد. تبیین این رمان براساس نظریة مذکور، رابطة اگزیستانسیالیسم، فمنیسم و ادبیات را در قالب برون‌گستری زمان در روایت نشان می­دهد و از سوی دیگر از طریق شخصیت پاملا، در قالب نامه­نگاری و اشعار عاشقانه، به جنبة درون‌گسترانة زمان می­پردازد. درعین حال، ریکور یکی از روایت‌شناسانی است که اخلاق را نشئت‌گرفته از مفهوم انسجام روایی زندگی و مفهوم هویت روایی می­داند. هدف این پژوهش تبیین نقش درون‌گستری و برون‌گستری زمان در روایت و نمود آن در انسجام هویت اخلاقی پاملا در حیث اگزیستانسیال فمنیستی است.   https://www.narratologyjournal.ir/article_104874_b605ff442c70b426f38b620398901031.pdf
