**Writing Guide and Article Submission Requirements**
To Authors
* Researchers are strictly requested to format their articles in accordance with the standards of the biannual journal.
**Note on the Article Folder**
- a) The folder title must match the **exact article title**. Avoid using abbreviations or generic names like “article,” “final article,” or similar titles.
- b) The article text should not include the authors' names or personal details. Including such details will prevent the article from proceeding to the review stage.
- c) The **Journal of Narratology** cannot publish articles exceeding **8500 words**.
- The journal does not accept articles longer than 8,500 words.
- Author details (name, academic rank, affiliated institution, address, phone number, and fax) should be listed on a separate page.
- In-text citations should appear in parentheses (Last name, year, page number(s)). For non-Persian sources, follow the same format as Persian sources, with Latin equivalents listed at the end. Direct quotes longer than 40 words should be separated from the text, indented (0.5 cm from the right), and in 12-point font.
- Article acceptance is subject to approval by the editorial board. The article must not have been published in any other domestic or international journals or conference proceedings. Authors are required to inform the journal if their article has been accepted or published elsewhere.
- The journal only accepts articles in Persian, focusing on literary theory and criticism, and based on the author's research.
- The journal reserves the right to edit articles for style without altering content. Articles that do not comply with the journal's editorial guidelines will not be accepted.
- Authors can submit articles through the electronic system at **portal.iaalc.com**.
Submitted articles must contain the following sections:
- Full title in Persian and English; author names in Persian and English (with an asterisk for the corresponding author); academic rank and institution name for each author in both languages; complete contact details, including email, for the corresponding author.
- Persian abstract (maximum 250 words, outlining the article's objective and problem); keywords (up to 5); English title, abstract, and keywords.
